Triton in joint venture with ADK S.A of Greece, was awarded the contract to carry out an independent market study and technical assessment of the Investment Plan for the Ilyichevsk Grain Terminal (I.G.T.) project at Ukraine.

The objectives of the study were the market evaluation and assessment of the competitive position of Ilyichevsk Grain Terminal with respect to the grain trade routes and the commodity shipping patterns in Ukraine and the adjacent region. The study also included the following tasks.

1. Market analysis including long term prospects of grain production in Ukraine, privatization schemes, land reform, agricultural and food trade, grain transport analysis, Ilyichevsk grain terminal strategic position and competitive advantages, projected throughput of the proposed grain terminal.
    

2. Technical assessment of the existing facility, and proposed extension works, review of engineering design and budget appraisal. Completed in March 2001.
