salonoil.jpg (20710 bytes)Design of a mooring and loading system for tankers up to 85,000 DWT for water transport from Anavalos to PETROLA HELLAS installations in Elefsis. The mooring system is a conventional one consisting of five steel buoys measuring 3.5 m in diameter by 1.80 m long, arranged around the ship at depths of -25m and anchored to the seabottom by means of 90mm diameter chains fixed on concrete blocks each weighing 100 tonnes.
The water is loaded on to the tankers by means of 16 inch diameter rubber hoses.
