Foundation & detail design and Geotechnical Investigation of the Kastro Junction of the National motorway Athens - Thessaloniki. The project consisted of one flyover and several underpasses. The project contract was awarded in 1994 and completed in 1995.
The foundation design of all large span structures was based on cast insitu piling while an extensive cement-lime stabilised soil improvement method was used for the foundation of the motorway and its sideroads throughout the marshland.
