NEW TANKER TERMINAL AT KING FAHD INDUSTRIAL PORT, JUBAIL, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

CLIENT : HUTA-HEGERFELD SAUDIA LTD

STARTING – COMPLETION DATE: NOV. 2002 – OCT. 2004

Triton has carried out the detail design of a new oil berth, No 54, at Jubail port and provided technical consultancy services during its construction. The pier has sufficient capacity to handle chemical product tankers of between 20,000 and 80,000 DWT (with a max. displacement of 100.000 metric tones). The berth consists of a concrete main deck supported on steel foundation piles. An approach trestle which accommodates an access road and pipe racks for products and utilities pipelines, connects the facility to the shore. The berth is complemented by a flexible mooring and fendering system consisting of four breasting dolphins and four mooring dolphins. Six catwalks have been constructed connecting the mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins and the loading platform.
