DESIGN OF AN ADVANCED SUBMARINE NAVAL BASE IN NORTHERN GREECE

CLIENT : MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
The design
includes a 270 m wharf for submarines and fast patrol vessels, building works (ammunition
and torpedo depots, shelters, tank farms, a communications building, power station) the
necessary infrastructure works, access roads, barricades, special fencing, as well as all
the related electro-mechanical works. A novel fendering system for the safe berthing of
submarines was designed.
