The project involved the site selection for the construction of a new Ferry-Boat, Ro-Ro, and Container Port capable of accommodating the heavy sea traffic between Greece and Italy (and other EEC countries) which at present comprises more than 1,000,000 passengers and 1,500,000 tons of goods per annum.
