Development of a new port for mega yachts adjacent to existing harbor facilities inside the fjord - like Kotor Bay in the Badkan Peninsula of Montenegro. The new facility will serve various sizes of yachts ranging from small vessels to mega yachts in excess of 70 m, and is to be located next to the existing harbor which is used by a variety of ships from Cruiser liners to fishing boats.
Triton Consulting Engineers was commissioned to carry out the following tasks :
1. Review current port operations
2. Prepare Conceptual Design and Master Plan for the facilities. Establish design criteria for the new works efficiently using new types of heavyweight concrete conditions for all vessels in the fjord and safeguard pontoons to berth recreational vessels up to the mega yacht class, ensure safe maneuvering & berthing uninterrupted operations of existing harbor facilities. Key issues to be addressed by the Consultant were the provision of state of the art landscape design and environmental guidelines acceptable to the competent Authorities in view of the classification of the Kotor Bay by UNESCO as an International Heritage Monument.
3. Define the optimum type of the various structures for building the new marina infrastructure.
