TRITON Consulting Engineers has been awarded the conceptual detail design for the reclamation, landscaping & development of a 60.000 sq.m. coastal area, adjacent to the Old Mykonos Port.
Furthermore, TRITON has been engaged by the South Aegean Regional Authority, as Technical Consultant for the project implementation, monitoring the project’s progress and quality, and assisting in the supervision of the construction.
The project Includes:
• Reclamation of a 55.000 sqm coastal area, fortification of its seaward face and construction of quaywalls in excess of 800 m. in length.
• Development of a fishing boat shelter for 200 vessels capacity.
• Construction of a passenger terminal building to serve the adjacent Old Port of the island with a handling capacity of 1000 passengers/h.
• A new building for the Port Authority.
• Provision of a Parking Area for 550 vehicles and a s bus terminal.
• Landscaping of the wider area
• Development of the Mykonos Yacht club.
• Construction of a fish market, and other relevant buildings for municipal and commercial activities
• Construction of passenger waiting recreation areas, sun shelters, walkways, cyclists’ lanes, etc.
