Research and evaluation of possible sites for fishing harbours in Western Greece. This project involves research, evaluation and selection of 94 sites along the western coasts of Greece and the Ionian islands for creation and/or extension and development of fishing harbours. The project included aerial, hydrographic and soil surveys, preliminary design and cost estimates in order to establish a funding priority list to be used by the EEC through the Mediterranean Integrated Programs. Techno-economical criteria together with selected social parameters were established and the results of the economic evaluations for all 94 sites were submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture.
